What LifeRegistry Is & How It's Different

A quick, plain-English guide to how LifeRegistry works.

The Registry

What It Is

A life affairs registry to help individuals organise essential personal documents, record authority arrangements, and participate in a structured membership framework built on clarity, discipline, and published rules.

A Shared Fund

Your membership strengthens a shared fund that supports every member's family.

Fair by Design

Support is allocated fairly under clear, published rules and eligibility criteria.

Built to Last

Managed prudently for the long term, so support is there for members' families when it matters.

LifeRegistry is a membership framework with its own clear, published rules — not an insurance product, funeral plan, savings scheme or guaranteed payout. Everything is set out plainly, so you always know exactly where you stand.

Membership FAQs

Everything you need to know about LifeRegistry membership.

LifeRegistry membership is participation in a structured, rules-based framework. Members pay a joining fee and an annual membership fee, which are pooled to support Registry operations and, where applicable, the discretionary contribution framework.

Membership is a one-time £50 joining fee plus a £150 annual membership fee, charged automatically to your card each year. Your Digital Vault is included with your membership from day one.

The £50 joining fee is a one-time setup fee that covers your onboarding, verification, and entry to the Registry. Your Digital Vault and membership benefits begin as soon as you're set up.

Your membership fees go into a shared fund that keeps the Registry running and supports funeral contributions for members' families. Pooling everyone's contributions together is what makes it possible to offer meaningful support fairly across the whole membership.

Your contributions join a shared fund rather than an individual savings account — that's what a pooled model means. Pooling is deliberate: it lets every member's family receive a helping hand with funeral costs, backed by our published rules.

Your funeral support grows the longer you're a member. Year one is your foundation year — your Digital Vault is live and your affairs are organised from day one. From year two (months 13–36) your family can receive up to £3,000, rising to the full £6,000 from year three (month 37 onwards), under our published rules.

For eligible members, families receive a contribution of up to £6,000 towards funeral costs, allocated fairly under our clear, published Registry Rules. It's supported by the whole membership's pooled contributions rather than a fixed individual policy — which is what keeps the support meaningful and sustainable for everyone.

It means contributions are made under our clear, published rules rather than as an automatic fixed payout. In practice, eligible members' families receive support of up to £6,000 towards funeral costs, assessed fairly and consistently for everyone under those same rules.

Yes — you're free to cancel any time before your next annual renewal. There's no lock-in and no cancellation fee; your membership simply stops renewing and your benefits end at the close of your current year.

Keeping your details up to date and having a quick read of the Registry Rules is all we ask. If anything is ever unclear, our team is happy to help — just get in touch and we'll talk you through it.

Membership suits anyone who wants to get their affairs in order and give their family a helping hand with funeral costs. If you value clear, published rules and a simple all-in-one membership, LifeRegistry is a great fit.

Our published rules keep things fair for every member. If we ever update them, we give fair notice in advance and changes always apply going forward — never retroactively to events that have already happened.
